Kirin Abbasi - Immigration Attorney in Houston

Founding attorney of Abbasi Immigration Law Firm, PLLC, Kirin Abbasi grew up in Houston, Texas. She is a proud Longhorn, having earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. 

In 2015, Kirin Abbasi graduated from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she also interned with Aid for Victims of Domestic Abuse. It was during this time Kirin Abbasi found a passion for working with a diversity of individuals and cases. 

She became a member of the State Bar of Texas in 2015 and since has extensive experience in Oil and Gas, Business and Employment Contracts, and Immigration Law. Ms. Abbasi is also a Certified Mediator.

Kizuwanda Wyatt - Attorney

Kizuwanda Wyatt is an Attorney with the firm, she represents clients in a broad range of matters with a focus on delivering strategic, client-centered advocacy. She has experience handling litigation preparation, drafting and analyzing legal filings, conducting detailed research, preparing clients for interviews and hearings, and advocating in administrative and state proceedings.

Ms. Wyatt’s practice includes extensive work with humanitarian and immigration-related matters, including asylum, removal of defense, and applications for protective and humanitarian relief. She has successfully represented clients in challenging cases and is trained in family petitions, asylum, U- and T-visas, SIJS, TPS, and related forms of relief.

Licensed in Texas and Illinois, Ms. Wyatt brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach shaped by years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry. She is committed to clear communication, thorough preparation, and advocating effectively for every client she serves.

Sean Mehboob - Client Relations Director

Sean Mehboob is the Client Relations Director and co-founder of Abbasi Immigration law Firm, PLLC. He manages the firm’s operations and serves as the liaison for the firm’s clients and the attorney. 

Sean has an extensive background in Client Relationship Management and Business Management. Sean is a long-time resident of Houston. 

Also having attended the University of Houston-Downtown, Sean is well-versed and knowledgeable about the local demographic to better serve the firm’s clientele.

Yvette Gonzalez - Senior Paralegal

Yvette Gonzalez is the Senior Paralegal at Abbasi Immigration Law Firm, bringing over 18 years of experience in immigration, civil, and family-based matters. She has extensive knowledge of adjustment of status, waivers, consular processing, asylum, DACA, TPS, and EOIR filings, and is highly skilled in preparing complex forms, evidence packets, and legal documents.

Fluent in Spanish, Yvette frequently serves as a translator and interpreter for client meetings and hearings. Known for her professionalism and compassion, she maintains close communication with clients, ensuring they understand their case and feel supported throughout the process.

Genesis Gonzalez is an Immigration Paralegal with nearly six years of experience supporting clients in EOIR removal proceedings and USCIS family-based matters.
